You awaken to an acrid stench in the air. Your head is throbbing. Your chest heaves, and you can't remember the last time you struggled so hard to breathe in your life - like sucking life through a tube of pomade. When your bleary vision sharpens, a grimy, candlelit room takes shape before your eyes, flames dancing amidst smoky yellows and sepia-tinted reds.
You spot an ornate pane of glass, fogged with black smudges and--are those threads of lightning? Flickers of silvery fingers? But by the time your lungs and brain cooperate, both the fog and the lightning clears. It's just a large, fancy mirror. An ordinary mirror looming before you, your own reflection blinking blankly back.
But what's this? Why are you dressed this way? You don't remember wearing a leotard or waistcoat-and-suit ensemble last night. Did you even go to bed last night?
And why does your body feel so damn strange, like you're the awkward puppeteer of a stiff mannequin?
Then you spot a huge pair of goggles and a pamphlet on the floor in front of the mirror. You bend over it, clawing rigidly at the dusky paper, and read,
Good Morning, Sweetheart! Welcome to the Glorious
MIDNIGHT MOON
the Most Fantastic Troupe In The Galaxy!
La Luna Medianoche is a circus-based panfandom roleplaying game tucked into a steampunk setting, in which your characters find themselves in a predicament they do not recognize, with no clear memory as to what they were doing last. The game features an ongoing plot, progressive worldbuild, and dark, mature themes.
